Rosie Bass is the founder and CEO of S.A.R.A. Institute (Substance Abuse Recovering Addiction). Rosie served in the United States Navy for 7 years and was honorably discharged in 1999. Rosie worked as a Veterans Services Representative for 4 years where she assisted veteran men and women to apply for their veteran benefits. During her time working as a Veteran Services Representative she came across veterans from all walks of life, some homeless and some on the verge of becoming homeless. So many of the homeless veterans that came into Rosie’s path touched her heart and she knew then that she had to do something to help these men and women who so many had turned a blind eye to and that’s when she established S.A.R.A Institute.
With that desire in my heart, I preside over Sara. We’re all looking to make a difference in our world and I believe that by focusing on communities, we’re going to make the most substantial impact. The world is made up of these important social connections and if you foster them positively, they’ll pay huge dividends - in love, care, and a better world.
we want your help. Whether it's serving food aid in a kitchen, painting walls of a newly repaired home, or collecting donations, we need you. And so do communities in need.
We're continually working hard to improve communities throughout the state. If you're interested to see what we've been doing recently (especially if you want to help), check out our project list.
We have a simple, but robust mission: to help people in need. We do that by focusing on community-based efforts including education, awareness, and food aid. We want to make a difference.
